The work is performed at designated sites of The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory is a premier research and development center that serves as a specialty site for weapon system integration. This position is being posted in anticipation of a bid award, where CIPS is aiming to meet the IT operational needs of the NSWCDD.
POSITION/TITLE: Senior Data Analyst
POSITION'S HOURS/SHIFT: 40 hours, M-F between the hours of 7AM-5:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY:
Computer Integration & Programming Solutions Corp. (CIPS), located in Bethesda, MD is seeking Senior level Data Analyst to provide Data Management Analyst support services. The Sr. Data Analyst shall provide analysis, design, and development of NSWCDD corporate information systems, business applications, and integrating capabilities assigned to the Corporate Information Systems Group in the following work areas:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide analysis, design, and development support related to support of data warehousing infrastructure and development
Develop definition and application designs in the form of logical data models, data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, structured query language (SQL), database performance loading specifications, and data validation specifications
Perform system checks, backup, recovery, and load analysis.
Works with project managers and developers to plan and implement database projects.
Responsible for data collection, data editing, and data verification.
Work directly with end user representatives to analyze business needs and enhancement requirements to enhance development of systems to meet agreed solutions.
Upon implementation of systems, maintain, manage, and refine systems as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Eperience and Competencies:
Ability to analyze business needs and develop requirements to meet agreed solutions in an unstructured administrative environment.
Strong knowledge and subject matter expertise in the areas of analysis, design, and development related to data warehousing and integration capabilities
Six (6) years related experience to include data warehouse development and design, data knowledge acquisition, legacy conversion specifications and design of data structures/load specs
Knowledge of Working Capital Fund and ERP, financial and human resources systems methods and strategies for data warehousing.
Good communication skills and experience in coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
Experience with utilizing commercially available database software packages (Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server and Oracle)
Other Skills Required: This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, analysis and problem solving skills, effective decision-making, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION:
BA or BS Information Management or BS in information systems, computer science, or related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses Required:
SQL or any field related certifications are a plus

Secret
