The work is performed at designated sites of The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory is a premier research and development center that serves as a specialty site for weapon system integration. This position is being posted in anticipation of a bid award, where CIPS is aiming to meet the IT operational needs of the NSWCDD.
POSITION/TITLE: Senior Facility Operations Specialist
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular/Full Time
POSITION'S HOURS/SHIFT: 40 hours, M-F between the hours of 7AM-5:30 PM
REPORTS TO: Program/Project Manager
CLEARANCE: Secret
LOCATION: Dahlgren, VA
POSITION SUMMARY: Computer Integration & Programming Solutions Corp. (CIPS), located in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Sr. Facility Operations Specialist to support various administrative functions related to the maintenance, operation of NSWCDD facilities. The Facility Operation Specialist will lead, supervise, or perform administrative work that involves operating or maintaining buildings, facilities and utility systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for short and long term strategic planning, budget development, procurement and supplies, materials and services
Provide estimation of project costs and development of project plans and their implementation
Review and analyze the maintenance records and reports and identify requirements and priorities and delivery of goods and services, and milestones throughout program life cycle
Coordinate projects, oversee the progress, monitor expenditures and serve as a technical advisor on modifications, upgrades, replacements of facilities and equipment
Ensure proper operation of all equipment and the proper repairs of all structural facilities and conduct inspection to assure compliance with specifications and codes
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience & Competencies:
Six years of experience in the area of facilities operation and maintenance.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail on customer records.
Effective organization and problem solving skills.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or other related technical field
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES REQUIRED:
Any certification in the related field is a plus
